VAN MAHOTSAV CELEBRATION-2025

On Thursday, 3 July 2025, Van Mahotsav, the festival of trees, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at KENNEDY HIGH the global school. The event aimed to foster ecological awareness and a wisdom of responsibility among young learners towards protecting the environment.

The vibrant celebration brought together students from Class I, Grade 1, Class II, Grade 2, and class IV & Grade 4, united under the common goal of promoting tree conservation and environmental stewardship. Amidst the lush greenery of the school campus, the event commenced with spirited participation by students who engaged in sapling plantation activities. These young environmentalists were encouraged to nurture the potted plants, symbolizing their commitment to a greener future.

The event was graced by Sri B. Subba Reddy, President, Commander N. Krupakar Reddy, Managing Director and Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat, Academic Director and Senior Principal.

President, Sri B. Subba Reddy inspired the gathering with a heartfelt message advising the students to “plant more trees and protect the environment for future generations.” Managing Director, Commander N. Krupakar Reddy asked the students to focus on the critical issues of environmental degradation and global warming, highlighting the role of trees in maintaining peace and ecological harmony. Academic Director and Senior Principal, Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat emphasized the importance of trees in sustaining life and championed the motto: “Each one, plant one.”

The cultural segment of the program was a beautiful reflection of students’ deep-rooted connection with nature. Students performed melodious songs, along with energetic dance presentations conveying strong environmental messages.

Adding to the spirit of the celebration, Class I and Grade 1 students planted saplings along with the dignitaries, marking a memorable learning moment for these young minds.

A notable highlight was the environmental rally by Class III & Grade 3 students, who moved through the campus raising slogans and creating awareness among peers about the urgent need to protect trees and our planet.

In conclusion, the Van Mahotsav celebration at KENNEDY HIGH the global school was not just an event but a powerful step towards nurturing environmentally conscious citizens. The program reflected the school's commitment to holistic education, blending cultural expression with environmental responsibility.
